Indian hospitality chain Sarovar Hotels, in partnership with Highland Constructions, has inaugurated Highland Sarovar Portico in Sindhudurg, India.
The opening is a part of Sarovar’s commitment to bolstering its presence in the coastal belt of Maharashtra.
This hotel is located in the Konkan region, which is known for its beaches and cultural heritage.
The property offers 50 rooms with a sea view, which are classified into deluxe rooms or premium rooms. Additional amenities available include a swimming pool and wellness services.
Sarovar Hotels chairman Ajay K Bakaya said “We are delighted to partner with Highland Constructions to introduce Highland Sarovar Portico in Sindhudurg. The Konkan region is fast emerging as a sought-after travel destination, and this hotel embodies our commitment to bringing quality hospitality to high-potential locations.
“With its scenic setting, regional influences, and warm hospitality, we aim to offer guests an enriching and memorable stay.”
Highland Sarovar Portico is strategically situated a two-hour drive from Goa Airport and 12km from Chipi Airport.
Highland Constructions managing director Devadas Y Naik said: “Sindhudurg holds immense tourism potential, and we are proud to collaborate with Sarovar Hotels to elevate the region’s hospitality landscape.
“Highland Sarovar Portico is designed to celebrate the unique charm of Konkan while providing travellers with comfort, exceptional service, and an authentic local experience. We are confident that the hotel will become a preferred choice for visitors seeking a refreshing coastal escape.”
In a related development, Sarovar Hotels unveiled plans last month to open the Royal Tulip Kathmandu in Nepal. The property is poised to become the largest hotel in the nation.
In December 2024, Sarovar Hotels launched a 70-key hotel in Amritsar, India, in partnership with Sarb Alliance Hospitality.
