Hilton has marked a significant milestone with the grand opening of Spark by Hilton Mystic Groton, signalling the company’s entry into the premium economy segment.

The unveiling of the first-ever Spark by Hilton comes just eight months after Hilton’s announcement of this new conversion-only brand in January 2023.

Situated less than half a mile from Interstate 95, Spark by Hilton Mystic Groton is located in the maritime town of Mystic, Connecticut. Nearby attractions include the Mystic Aquarium, the Mystic Seaport Museum, the Olde Mistick Village and the Mystic Bascule Drawbridge.

The hotel is under two miles from local shops and restaurants in Mystic’s downtown area.

Hilton has collaborated with the Distinctive Hospitality Group for the debut of Spark by Hilton. Matt Schuyler, chief brand officer at Hilton, expressed enthusiasm about this new premium economy brand, emphasising Hilton’s dedication to offering a diverse range of brands to cater to a range of travellers and occasions.

Schuyler also noted that Spark is Hilton’s fastest announcement-to-market brand in its history.

Lou Carrier expressed confidence in the Mystic/Eastern Connecticut marketplace, anticipating that the 120-room hotel will thrive.
