IHG Hotels & Resorts has confirmed the establishment of its inaugural voco hotel in Türkiye, with the planned opening of a property in Antalya by mid-2025.

The new voco Antalya Konyaaltı will be developed in partnership with Pınarlar Kurumsal Hizmetler Turizm and aims to offer guests a blend of the city’s heritage, Mediterranean coastline, and views of the Taurus Mountains.

This marks a significant step in IHG’s commitment to enhancing its presence within Türkiye’s travel industry.

IHG Hotels & Resorts Europe development vice president Willemijn Geels said: “Antalya’s rising prominence as a key leisure destination with its pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and vibrant nightlife have contributed to its increase in tourism. We are strategically positioned to leverage these growth opportunities by bringing the right brands to the locations that travellers desire.

“We are particularly pleased to partner with Pınarlar Kurumsal Hizmetler Turizm, who have entrusted our market-leading brand, local expertise, and global enterprise to deliver exceptional value and performance for their latest hotel in Antalya.”

The 120-room voco Antalya Konyaaltı will cater to both leisure and business travellers, featuring a restaurant, bar, and meeting rooms. Guests will also have access to a spa, gym, and an outdoor swimming pool.

The introduction of voco Antalya Konyaaltı is part of a series of strategic moves within IHG’s diverse brand portfolio in the Turkish market.

Recent developments include the debut of Garner Hotels in Istanbul and the introduction of the Vignette Collection with Istanbul Karaköy.

voco Antalya Konyaaltı owner Yusuf Yadoğlu said: “We are delighted to partner with IHG Hotels & Resorts to bring the vibrant voco brand to Türkiye along with its thoughtful and charming personality. IHG’s proven track record, combined with their deep understanding of the Turkish market, makes them the ideal partner for our hotel.

“We are confident that voco Antalya Konyaaltı will offer a unique and compelling hospitality experience, contributing significantly to the city’s thriving tourism sector. The signing reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional quality and enhancing the region’s appeal to both domestic and international travellers.”

IHG is already operating 33 hotels across five brands in Türkiye. The new hotel joins a pipeline of 12 properties across six brands and will expand IHG’s European voco presence to 19 hotels.

Earlier this year, IHG also announced the expansion of its Crowne Plaza brand in Istanbul, further solidifying its position in the Turkish market and enhancing its premium hotel offerings.
