Hotel franchising company Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has continued its global expansion with a debut in the mountainous country of Nepal through its 90-room hotel Ramada Encore.

Unveiled earlier this week, Ramada Encore by Wyndham Kathmandu-Thamel is situated in the centre of Nepal’s capital Kathmandu and is part of the city’s commercial centre rejuvenation project.

The hotel is claimed to be among Nepal’s top attractions and cultural wonders, such as Mount Everest’s base camp, the Garden of Dreams, and Kathmandu Durbar Square’s Ason Bazaar.

With over 50 properties in the Indian sub-continent, Ramada Encore forms another milestone towards Wyndham’s expansion plans.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Eurasia regional director Nikhil Sharma said: “We are thrilled to be expanding Wyndham’s portfolio in this exciting new destination. Nepal is a beautiful country with huge potential and we are pleased to be making our footprint as part of our strategy to further expand our EMEA reach across the Indian sub-continent.

“With a growing portfolio of more than 50 operational hotels in the region and plans to develop around 30 additional properties across India, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Pakistan by 2025, the debut of the Ramada Encore by Wyndham brand brings us one step closer to our mission of making hotel travel possible for all in the Indian sub-continent and beyond.”

The newly-built Ramada Encore by Wyndham Kathmandu-Thamel has been built keeping in mind easy accessibility for guests, who can sit back and enjoy the contemporary designs of the comfortable rooms.

On-site food and beverage outlets of the hotel include the outdoor El Beso Caro, which offers scenic views of the city, while the Ramada Encore’s rooftop plunge pool, spa, salon and fitness centre promise to offer rejuvenation and relaxation.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has approximately 9,000 hotels across 90 countries.
