UK-based hotel group YOTEL is set to launch its first hotel in Japan, which will be located in Ginza in Tokyo.

YOTEL Tokyo, the brand’s fifth hotel in Asia, is scheduled to be ready in 2024.

From reservation to check-out, the new 244-room hotel will incorporate the brand’s latest technology features.

These include YOTEL’s signature robotic staff, motorised SmartBeds as well as fully integrated technologies to offer a touchless experience.

The property will also include a fitness centre, meeting space and an outdoor terrace.

Its Grab-and-Go cafe will offer locally sourced food and drinks to guests.

Additionally, the hotel will feature the brand’s signature public areas, providing guests spaces to eat, work and play.

The property is a 15-minute walk from Tokyo station, which connects most parts of Japan. This station offers connection to the Narita International Airport via Narita Express.

YOTEL CEO Hubert Viriot said: “Japan’s focus on technology and innovation has been an important source of inspiration for YOTEL ever since our inception.

“We are immensely proud and excited to announce our first hotel in Tokyo.  A flagship for our group, YOTEL Tokyo will also be a steppingstone to roll out our brand across Japan, a market of strategic importance for YOTEL.”

The brand also plans to launch in other Japanese cities including Sapporo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe.

Besides, it is considering the option of introducing the YOTELAIR transit hotel concept at important airports and train stations.

In May this year, YOTEL unveiled plans to launch a 127-key hotel in Lisbon, Portugal. This property is scheduled to open in 2024.
