Hyatt Hotels has announced the opening of Hyatt Place Nanchong Gaoping, a 276-room international hotel, in Nanchong of China’s Sichuan province.

Claimed to be the first and the only international hotel in Nanchong, it is a joint venture led by Nanchong Yuxuan Hotel Management and run by Minyoun Hospitality.

 The hotel’s general manager Zeke Xiao said: “As Nanchong continues to grow and thrive economically, we are excited to welcome the first Hyatt Place hotel to the area.

 “With our smartly designed social spaces and guestrooms with separate work and sleep areas, our multitasking guests can easily accomplish what they need to do while on the road.”   

Its 276 rooms offer separate spaces to sleep, work and play. Many rooms also have a Corner sofa-sleeper.

The hotel’s Kitchen offers freshly prepared meals all day, including Chinese and Western-style breakfasts, while the Lobby Lounge offers specialty coffees and beers, wines and cocktails.

It has about 2,000ft2 of flexible, high-tech meeting space.
