Radisson Hotel Group has expanded its Radisson Blu brand with the opening of a new property in the Xujiahui Sports Park at the heart of Shanghai, China.

The comprehensive facilities of the new Radisson Blu Hotel, Shanghai Stadium is poised to cater to a variety of guests, ranging from sports enthusiasts to business travellers.

Radisson Hotels Jin Jiang vice-president James Wang said: “The grand opening of Radisson Blu Hotel, Shanghai Stadium further strengthens the presence of Radisson Blu brand in the Yangtze River Delta region.

“In cooperation with JUSS Sports, we are blending Radisson Blu’s signature hospitality with the city’s dynamic sports culture to curate an exceptional experience for global business travellers, event participants, and wellness-focused guests.

The new property offers 208 rooms and suites spread across floors six to 12, with sizes varying from 38m² to 200m².

Guests have the option to select rooms facing the stadium for a viewing experience of sports events and live performances or rooms overlooking the Xujiahui Sports Park.

The hotel’s 1,000m² of event space includes the 445m² Olympia Ballroom and six meeting rooms, which are designed to accommodate a range of events.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Shanghai Stadium is also equipped with a fitness centre that includes a hyperbaric oxygen chamber and multifunctional workout facilities.

Additionally, guests have access to a transparent temperature-controlled swimming pool.

This opening follows the recent launch of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.
