US-based company Booking Holdings IT hiring rose 32.9% in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 10.35% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 25.86% share in the company’s total hiring activity in February 2022, and recorded a 3.68% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Booking Holdings IT hiring in February 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Booking Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 80.45% in February 2022, and a 282.14% rise over January 2022, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 11.28% in February 2022, and registered growth of 87.5%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 6.02% in February 2022, a 14.29% rise from January 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at Booking Holdings
North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in February 2022 with a 57.14% share, which marked a 300% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 39.1%, registering a 136.36% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 3.76% share and a 25% rise over January 2022.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 50.38% share in February 2022, a 318.75% growth over January 2022. Thailand featured next with a 19.55% share, up 36.84% over the previous month. India recorded a 15.04% share, an increase of 1900% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Booking Holdings IT hiring activity in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.41%, up by 262.5% from January 2022. Entry Level positions with a 19.55% share, a growth of 44.44% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 15.04% share, up 566.67% over January 2022.
