China’s travel & tourism industry registered a 4.0% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.59% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.9% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 1.49% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 89.29% in April 2022, registering a 13.64% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 5.36% share, an increase of 50% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 3.57%, registering a 100% rise from March 2022.

4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 1.79% growth over the previous month.

 

Top five travel & tourism companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 22.22% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s travel & tourism industry during April 2022 over March 2022.

A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 18 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a drop of 28% over the previous month, followed by Booking Holdings with 17 jobs and a flat growth. The Walt Disney with 17 IT jobs and Skyscanner with 2 jobs, recorded a 5.56% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while InterContinental Hotels Group recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during April 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.86%, up by 2.7% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25% share, registered an increase of 7.69% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.14% share, down 20% over March 2022.
