The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 11.99% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Expedia Group IT hiring in November 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Expedia Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 79.7% in November 2021, and a 50.16% drop over October 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 8.12% in November 2021, and registered growth of 166.67%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 6.09% in November 2021, a 45.45% drop from October 2021.

North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in November 2021 with a 45.69% share, which marked a 47.67% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 41.62%, registering a 35.43% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with an 11.68% share and a 57.41% drop over October 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.02% and a month-on-month flat growth.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 40.61% share in November 2021, a 51.81% decline over October 2021. India featured next with a 32.49% share, down 26.44% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 9.64% share, a decline of 53.66% compared with October 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Expedia Group IT hiring activity in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.44%, down by 48.75% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 19.29% share, a decline of 26.92% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.26% share, down 45.16% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.02%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
