Netherlands travel & tourism industry registered a 2.0% rise in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.52% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.55% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 1.53% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Netherlands travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands travel & tourism industry in May 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 77.78% in May 2022, registering a 16.95% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 9.52% share, an increase of 500% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.94%, registering a 50% decline from April 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 4.76%, down 70% over the previous month.

Top five travel & tourism companies in Netherlands IT recruitment activity in May 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands travel & tourism industry during May 2022 over April 2022.

Booking Holdings posted 46 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 30.3% over the previous month, followed by NS Groep with 14 jobs and a 7.69% growth. Uber Technologies with 2 IT jobs and BCD Travel Services with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth.

Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.37%, down by 23.08% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.05% share, registered a decline of 7.69% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 1.59% share, down 50% over April 2022.
