US-based company Uber Technologies IT hiring declined 30.3% in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.78% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 18.34% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded an 8.63% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Uber Technologies IT hiring in September 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Uber Technologies, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 68% in September 2022, and a 155% rise over August 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 14.67% in September 2022, and registered growth of 175%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 5.33% in September 2022, a 300% rise from August 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Uber Technologies

North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in September 2022 with a 41.33% share, which marked a 158.33% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 37.33%, registering a 211.11% month-on-month growth. Middle East & Africa was the third leading region with a 12% share and a 50% rise over August 2022.

In the fourth place was Europe with a share of 8% and a month-on-month increase of 200%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.33%, registering a 75% drop over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 41.33% share in September 2022, a 244.44% growth over August 2022. India featured next with a 20% share, up 275% over the previous month. Pakistan recorded a 10.67% share, an increase of 100% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Uber Technologies IT hiring activity in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.33%, up by 85.71% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16% share, a growth of 500% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.67% share, up 266.67% over August 2022.
