AccorHotels’ Swiss hospitality brand, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, has debuted in New Zealand with the launch of Mövenpick Hotel Auckland.
The newly opened hotel is located in Auckland and surrounded by various commercial venues, boutiques, restaurants and city’s leisure attractions.
Mövenpick Hotel Auckland features 207 guestrooms and suites along with on-site and virtual gyms and a brand’s signature restaurant.
Other amenities include a street-side café, meeting and event room, a library and valet parking services for the guests.
The meeting and event space, situated on the hotel’s level one, includes eight function rooms each featuring technology support, inbuilt audio-visual facility, and free access to Wi-Fi.
The hotel also includes 24-hour sundae service, Chocolate Hour and brand’s signature Attica Bar which serves a wide variety of beverages, such as coffee, beer, and wine.
Accor Pacific CEO Sarah Derry said: “Mövenpick is a brand name that New Zealanders are familiar with, which is associated with quality and luxury.
“The strategic location of both Mövenpick hotels in cosmopolitan centres provides travellers with a gateway to each city, and all the culinary, retail and commercial amenities they have on offer.”
Accor is also planning to open a Mövenpick brand property in Wellington, which is expected to open in July.
According to Accor, the two Mövenpick properties in Auckland and Wellington will also be dining destinations for the visitors, offering Asian fusion cuisine at Wellington’s Forage restaurant and Auckland’s BODA restaurant.
Mövenpick hospitality brand has properties in more than 110 locations across the world.
Apart from Wellington’s property, Accord will also open Mövenpick Hotel Brisbane Spring Hill, in Queensland, Australia in 2024.
