Hyatt Hotels has expanded its portfolio in Latin America with the opening of a dual-branded property in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.
Hyatt Place Monterrey Valle and Hyatt House Monterrey Valle / San Pedro opened on 25 October.
The hotels mark the first dual-branded Hyatt property in Latin America. They are also the first Hyatt-branded properties in Monterrey.
Hyatt Place Monterrey Valle has 133 rooms featuring separate spaces to sleep, work and play and Hyatt House Monterrey Valle / San Pedro provides 91 rooms with apartment-style suites, fully equipped kitchens and other amenities.
The dual-branded property offers complimentary Wi-Fi, a 24-hour fully equipped fitness centre, laundry and dry-cleaning service, a heated outdoor pool, terrace, and grills.
Other guest amenities include four flexible meeting and events spaces, as well as the H Bar, which caters selection of quality cocktails, beer, wine and exclusive Starbucks products.

The properties are owned and managed by hotel management firm Grupo Presidente, which is the company’s second project with Hyatt after Hyatt House Mexico City Santa Fe.
Hyatt select service and franchise operations regional vice-president Ruben Carillo said: “Hyatt Place Monterrey Valle and Hyatt House Monterrey Valle / San Pedro represent the debut of Hyatt’s brands in a new key market and Hyatt’s first dual-branded project in Latin America, meeting an increased travel demand in Monterrey and in the region overall.
“We’re excited for World of Hyatt members, customers and locals to experience these new innovative properties, ideally situated near shopping venues, parks, universities, hospitals and so much more.”
Last week, Hyatt Hotels opened the 222-room Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu, its first Hyatt Centric brand property in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
