IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle collection brand Kimpton has opened its first resort in Portugal.
Located near Albufeira and the São Rafael Beach, the site offers 149 Mediterranean-inspired rooms and suites.

The property is designed by Portuguese designer Nini Andrade Silva under the LUCID Development Group’s project management.

The resort offers an array of dining experiences, a rooftop bar and a Wellness Hub that features a heated indoor pool, a hydroactive spa circuit, a flotation tank, Turkish baths, and a gym.

By GlobalDataThe resort also welcomes pets without any additional charge and provides guests with essential items they may have forgotten at home through its “Forgot It? We’ve Got It!” programme.
This new addition joins IHG’s expanding collection of luxury lifestyle hotels in Europe, which include properties in London, Marbella, and Frankfurt, with other planned openings.
In October 2023, IHG revealed its plans to introduce the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand to the country with the signing of Kimpton Algarve São Rafael Atlántico.
