Marriott International brand Marriott Hotels and Miyako Hotels & Resorts have opened the new Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel in Osaka, Japan.
Osaka Marriott Miyako, the fourth Marriott Hotels property in the country, has been built in partnership with Miyako Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of the Kintetsu, in a new 300m ultra-high rise complex, Abeno Harukas, which includes 60 storeys above ground and five underground.
The hotel, which comprises 360 guest rooms on the top floors of the building, is near to Kansai International Airport and provides convenient access to all other points in Osaka and the Kansai region.
Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel, whose rooms are located on the 38th to 55th floors, features six suites, 33 premium rooms and an executive lounge with a 10m-high ceiling and floor to ceiling windows.
The hotel also features a large meeting room, six small meeting rooms, along with Greatroom lobby, lobby lounge and bar on the 19th floor.
Additionally, the hotel includes open kitchen buffet restaurant Cooka, modern restaurant ZK, and Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel.
Cooka offers a variety of Japanese and international dishes in a casual dining environment, while ZK, which occupys the entire 57th floor, serves both authentic Japanese and Western cuisine.
Marriott International Asia Pacific president and managing director Simon Cooper said that the group’s worldwide model for growth is to work with local partners who have the right local expertise, knowledge and skills.
"In Miyako Hotels & Resorts we have found an excellent partner to work with here in Japan and we are excited to open the first Marriott Hotels property in this very important city," Cooper added.
Marriott Hotels has 500 hotels and resorts in around 60 countries, while Marriott International holds 3,900 properties in around 72 countries and territories.
