Marriott International is opening its first hotel, the Courtyard Belgrade City Center, in Serbia.
Serbia is located in southeast Europe’s Balkan peninsular.
The hotel will have the brand’s new European design, which features glass façade contrasts against the historic city centre backdrop.
The 114-room hotel is set to open this September and will mark the entry of the brand into its 42nd country.
It is situated in Republic Square, which is close to shopping and restaurants in Knez Mihailova, cobbled streets of Belgrade’s Bohemian Quarter, the Courtyard Belgrade, and is a 20 minute drive from Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport.
The property will include two studio rooms and 112 standard rooms, featuring 42in Smart LED TV and complimentary Wi-Fi.
It is expected to cater the needs of business and leisure travellers as it includes one meeting room, a 24-hour market for refreshments, a restaurant and a fitness center.
Guests will have access to food and drink options 24 hours a day, while the lobby features flexible seating with smart, inspiring interior design.
The Courtyard Belgrade City Center will also feature a GoBoard touch screen that will provide news, weather and local information.
Courtyard by Marriott recently opened its thousandth hotel in Walla Walla, Washington, US.
Featuring the largest global room pipeline across the Marriott portfolio, Courtyard by Marriott expects to have hotels in 45 countries by the end of 2015.
