Omni Hotels & Resorts has added Wyndham Riverfront New Orleans hotel in the US to its portfolio, which will be its third property in New Orleans following a six-month, $8m renovation.
In partnership with Riverfront Lodging, the 202-room property has been renamed the Omni Riverfront Hotel, which is located in the Warehouse and Arts District of New Orleans. It features around 4,000ft² of meeting and event space, as well as a rebranded French Fulton St Bistro Bar.
The six-month renovation has upgraded guest rooms with white tile entryways, new carpet and furniture, tubs and black tile in the bathrooms, as well as bedside LED reading lamps and 42in flatscreen televisions.
The hotel’s meeting space, public spaces and corridors also received a minor facelift.
Omni Hotels & Resorts president Mike Deitemeyer said: "Omni Hotels & Resorts has a long history in New Orleans, dating back almost 30 years, with the Omni Royal Orleans, and later the Omni Royal Crescent Hotel.
"We are pleased to have a third hotel in this amazing city, and to help make memorable New Orleans experiences for vacationers, business travelers and meeting attendees alike."
