PREMIER INN

The annual Which? hotel report has named Premier Inn the best hotel chain in the UK, with an overall score of 83%.

Compiled by the consumer research organisation, the report surveyed its members and the general public.

Premier Inn managing director Simon Jones said: "Which? has highlighted that Premier Inn ticks all of the boxes required to make it as the UK’s ‘top rated’ hotel chain.

"To have scored top marks across so many of the measures is testament to all of our team across our whole business."

According to the report, Premier Inn beat its closest competitor by 8%.

The research focused on several factors, including value for money, customer satisfaction, cleanliness and bed comfort.

Jones added: "This year alone, we have made an investment of £140m in maintaining and refurbishing our hotels."

Premier Inn currently operates more than 700 sites with a total of 60,000 rooms across the UK.

Hotels offer en-suite bathrooms, a Hypnos bed, TV with Freeview, free Wi-Fi, a bar and a restaurant.

According to the company, more than 80% of Premier Inn hotels achieved a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence earlier this year.
