Indian budget hotel booking website OYO Rooms has launched a ‘Partner Privilege’ programme for its asset owners in the country.

This new programme is part of its OYO Partner Engagement Network (OPEN) programme, which was launched in April 2019.

OPEN was started with the aim to increase owner growth and to encourage continual engagement and recognition.

In a statement, the company said: “Our Partner Privilege programme is the first-of-its-kind initiative in the hospitality industry and will provide exclusive benefits and opportunities to our top-performing hotel owners in India for their personal and professional advancement. The programme involves three types of benefits – growth benefits, partnership benefits, and OYO network benefits.”

The benefits include easy and accelerated availability of funds in the bank business advances and better terms of lending from banks and non-banking financial companies.

The perks also include free insurance product without charges for employees, which is designed by Acko, which is a private sector general insurance company.

OYO has also partnered with an Indian e-commerce company, Paytm, to provide no charges current accounts for hotel owners and no cost salary accounts for the employees.

All high performing owners will also receive offers from car companies such as BMW and Volkswagen, along with retail vouchers from different brands.

OYO added: “We are on a mission to create quality living spaces and make it accessible and affordable for millions of our customers and we cannot do this without the active support and encouragement from our asset owner partners. We place immense trust in our 10,000 [plus] strong hotel community across 300 [plus] cities in India and aim to continue to innovate and provide the necessary support and assistance to our growing entrepreneurial network.”
