Hoteliers are expecting more from their networks than ever before. Gone are days when individual network applications could be isolated in their own dedicated environments with each system administrator managing their own switch or router. This is not cost-effective and most hoteliers want to maximise their network investment by utilising it for as many network applications over the same infrastructure as possible.

However, with so many mission critical applications depending on the converged network such as guest internet, WVoIP, PoS, corporate access, as well as dealing with PCI regulations, management and reporting can be a big challenge.

The HP Intelligent Management Center (IMC) is designed to make network management simple. It can baseline and monitor the network, and alert the IT administrator to any issues, unexpected changes, or simply show that everything is running well. High-level custom reports can be automatically sent to senior management.

The IMC Wireless Services Manager (WSM) adds support for detailed wireless management and configuration. Wireless infrastructure and client performance can be monitored to ensure that the system is always running smoothly. AP locations can be placed on building floor plans to help visualise performance and immediately pinpoint any issues.

The IMC User Access Management (UAM) platform provides simplified bring-your-own-device (BYOD) administration with onboarding, provisioning and monitoring to speed-up user management and implementation.
