Globally, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 have reached over 46,639,000 with over 1,202,000 deaths and 31,113,000 recoveries.

The US continues to take the lead as the most heavily affected country worldwide, making up 20% of the total confirmed cases.

Across Europe many regions are experiencing a rapid rise in cases of Covid-19.

England is set to introduce a second national lockdown this week in an effort to limit the spread of infection.

Similar national restrictions have already been introduced in France, Germany, and Belgium.

Australia seems to have controlled it’s second wave and has recorded the first day of no new locally acquired cases in nearly five months.

The state of Victoria, previously seen as a COVID-19 hotspot has now ended its 112-day lockdown.
