
Hospitality company Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has unveiled its latest addition to its ‘brandscape’ with the opening of the Tree of Life Amara Resort & Spa in Udaipur, India.
The new property has 33 villas, each equipped with private balconies, panoramic views and an infinity pool.
IHCL hotel openings and new businesses executive vice president Deepika Rao said: “IHCL has always been at the forefront of revolutionising hospitality formats, pioneering destinations, and scaling brands that cater to evolving traveller preferences. The addition of Tree of Life Resorts & Hotels to IHCL’s brandscape reflects our commitment to curating distinctive journeys that balance exclusivity with authenticity.
“Catering to the growing demand for slow travel and experiential stays, Tree of Life has carved a niche in this evolving segment with 20 boutique properties and is set to reach a 100-hotel portfolio by 2030.”
In line with the Tree of Life brand’s ethos, the resort offers experiences such as the signature Sunset and Sunrise Call, options for guests to connect with nature.
Additionally, the resort organises “Village Tours”, offering guided walks through local communities to give insights into rural life and traditions.

Through this partnership, Tree of Life’s portfolio of 14 boutique resorts will be incorporated into IHCL’s vast marketing and distribution network.
In addition to Tree of Life, IHCL and its subsidiaries also operate brands such as Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, Gateway, and Ginger.
The company’s portfolio encompasses 368 hotels, with 128 in the pipeline, spread across four continents, 14 countries, and more than 150 locations.
