IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened a new-build convention hotel under its Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand in Nebraska, US.

The new property, Crowne Plaza Kearney, is attached to the Younes Conference Centre and is centrally located between Omaha and Denver.

The hotel features 172 guest rooms, which are designed under the Crowne Plaza’s signature zoning concept.

The main area of the hotel comprises of flexible spaces with a mix of social and private gathering spaces.

Around 70,000ft² of space in the hotel is dedicated to organising meetings and events at the brand’s signature Plaza Workspace areas and the Younes Conference Centre.

Additionally, guests can conduct weddings, informal meetings, and other large-scale events at the hotel.

Other amenities offered in the newly opened Crowne Plaza Kearney include an indoor waterpark, a coffee shop and restaurant and bar, Fyre Grill & Spirits, with all-day dining.

Besides, guests can access the shops, six restaurants and a spa located in the convention centre campus.

Currently, Crowne Plaza has more than 400 hotels in over 60 countries. It expects to open 15 more properties this year.

Furthermore, the brand will open two properties that have completed multi-million-dollar renovation in Florida and Indiana this year.

Earlier this month, IHG signed Crowne Plaza Shell Cove Marina hotel on the New South Wales (NSW) South Coast. It will open in 2025.
