It's been many exciting months in the making, but 5 October marks the global launch...
The Grand Hotel Park in Gstaad has been completely renovated in the name of love and respect for its long and impressive history and its unique architecture. The aim was to create a luxury hotel offering the guests the best of everything. Nothing less.
With that in mind, Bang & Olufsen has been chosen as the provider of in-room entertainment in the 94 rooms and suites. As a minimum, the bedrooms are equipped with a 32in BeoVision 8 television, and in the four bedrooms of the 400m² ‘My Gstaad Chalet’, guests can enjoy the impressive 65in of BeoVision 4 and have a veritable in-room cinema experience.
“With a perfect marriage of proven technology and advanced functionality, Bang & Olufsen delivers exceptional image and sound quality, coupled with ease of use and the famous never-to-be-outmoded design. We found that our values of modern hospitality and respect for tradition perfectly matched the values of Bang & Olufsen,” says Jean-Yves Blatt, general manager.
Experience and atmosphere
The splendour and atmosphere of the Swiss Alps makes it easy to completely loose your heart to the soul of Gstaad and the surrounding region. This also happened to hotel owner, Dona Bertarelli, when she first visited the place about five years ago. Her experience of love and happiness for the region and the hotel is obvious in the new life and atmosphere of the Grand Hotel Park; it is younger than ever – in respect for the traditions.
“We are very happy to be part of the new and luxurious Grand Hotel Park which shares some essential values with Bang & Olufsen. All our products and solutions have one goal; to create ultimate pleasure and experience. To achieve this, we always challenge the conventions, but we never compromise on our heritage and founding values,” says Bang & Olufsen managing director, Flemming Nielsen.
The experience offered by the Bang & Olufsen televisions is unique and pleasurable in both sound and vision, as the integrated loudspeakers provide a surprisingly true and rich sound. Both BeoVision 4 and BeoVision 8 combine an elegant design with to-the-edge technology, ensuring the best and sharpest picture under all viewing conditions.
Connectivity in all aspects
To complete the visual experience offered by the televisions, Grand Hotel Park is also equipped with Bang & Olufsen loudspeakers and music systems. Even in the bathrooms the guests will be able to enjoy the sound of any chosen source – and there is plenty to choose from.
The multimedia system is one of the most comprehensive on the market, with more than 120 international television channels and 30 radio stations available via the Bang & Olufsen screen. An interactive channel informs guests of the latest news about the hotel, enabling them to find out about events that should not be missed or simply consult the menu of available services.
Furthermore, the Bang & Olufsen televisions offer a great variety of connection possibilities for all types of devices, so guests will easily be able to connect their video cameras, laptops, MP3 players, etc.
For connection to the world outside the hotel, all rooms and suites are equipped with Bang & Olufsen telephones. Both the BeoCom 1401 and the new BeoCom 5 offer an astonishing sound quality with natural speech reproduction, which is due to the fact that the telephones are based on the same acoustic competences applied in the Bang & Olufsen loudspeakers.
