14th November 2010

BeoSound 8 is a powerful new speaker dock for the iPad, iPhone and iPod that takes the digital music experience to a completely new level, conveniently and seamlessly – ready for any type of digital player the guest might bring.

BeoSound 8 delivers breathtaking sound performance and offers elegant design and a simple user interface. It is a fantastic solution for any hotel wanting to give their guests the possibility of enjoying digital music either from their iPod, iPhone, iPad, PC / Mac or other digital music device. The devices are easily connected to BeoSound 8, and the digital music will be unfolded to its true potential.

The light and characteristic design of BeoSound 8 makes it highly flexible in use; it is perfectly suited as a music system for everything from standard rooms to luxury suites. BeoSound 8 can be placed on a wall bracket or any flat surface and still deliver fantastic premium quality sound.

To complete the outstanding sound performance BeoSound 8 has a manual room adaptation switch with three positions, which allows it to be placed anywhere without compromising the sound performance – giving a unique freedom of placement.

Cool and simple to use

Always thinking ease-of-use, Bang & Olufsen has made it simple to plug BeoSound 8 in and connect the device by docking it or connecting it using the AUX line-in or USB ports, and the guests are ready to listen to their favourite digital music in no time. BeoSound 8 is easily controlled using the dedicated remote that comes with the product, or you can let the guest control it with one of Bang & Olufsen’s intelligent remotes if you prefer.

Another cool application of BeoSound 8 is that it can be networked using the Apple Airport Express and in this way, the guest’s individual music collection can conveniently be streamed wirelessly from the PC or Mac to BeoSound 8 – user-friendly from the first moment.

Magical 2D design

BeoSound 8 is more than an experience for the ears. The visual identity is truly intriguing with the two cone-shaped speakers almost appearing as if they are floating, while simultaneously presenting a 2D design that hides the actual depth of the product.

The two characteristic and eye-catching speakers can really change the colour of the experience. The black and the white speaker covers will fit in almost any room, and the additional options; yellow, green, purple and lavender blue – give an opportunity of matching BeoSound 8 with the surroundings and interior.

In addition, the speakers of BeoSound 8 are outlined by aluminium rings adding a distinct Bang & Olufsen look and feel. With BeoSound 8, Bang & Olufsen has once again proven that it is leading within the field of innovation and design.
